This week I speak to one of the UK’s top holistic female health experts, Sara Cosendai. Sara is a naturopathic nutritionist, clinical aromatherapist, doula, prenatal yoga teacher and Kundalini yoga teacher. What she does is truly magical, because, in blending all her qualifications and passions, she has found a way to support women during the most transformational time in their lives, to ensure a smooth trip from pre-conception right through to motherhood and beyond.
Sara was fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by the innovators of the natural birth movement in 1980s London and in this episode we speak about how her formative years shaped her view of childbirth and subsequently led to the passions she still holds today.
Sara talks us through why mothers often struggle in both the lead up to birth, and afterwards, and offers advice on how to struggle less at this time and enjoy those early months / years. She gives tips on how to stay healthy during this integral time and talks us through her incredible model of motherhood coaching, and why it is so needed now more than ever.
She has kindly included a link for Expectful, a guided meditation app for fertility, pregnancy and motherhood which you can access here: www.expectful.com/mymama
Products mentioned in the show:
The Gentle Birth Method by Gowri Motha
Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth – Ina May Gaskin
